Domenic Monaco is a self-taught musician that has been influenced by both Italian and American cultures. Domenic was born in New Jersey and introduced to music at an early age. Music has always been part of the Monaco family as Domenic's father is also a proficient drummer. While growing up, Domenic's home studio included professional drum sets, a grand piano, and various guitars. Learning to play the drums at such a young age helped to foster Domenic's interest in the other musical instruments that were available to him.
At the age of twelve, Domenic's family moved from New Jersey to the picturesque Salerno region in southern Italy. By this time, Domenic had become adept at playing drums, guitars and pianos. He honed his musical skills while living in Salerno Italy, concentrating on various types of music including jazz fusion.
At the age of eighteen, Domenic decides to move back to the NY metropolitan area and befriends the accomplished guitarist, Guy Valic. Together with Valic's guidance, Domenic is introduced to the musical culture of New York City. While vacationing in San Diego, California, Domenic meets Jennifer Zarcone, who quickly becomes one of Domenic's best friends, and who goes on to inspire Domenic's creation of the album "Day after Day". Jennifer's inspiration and encouragement helped Domenic to explore new types of music including beach or folk rock.
Soon after creating original songs for the "Day after Day" album, Domenic is introduced to Marc Rizzo, guitar virtuoso and CEO of Phlamencore Records. Marc is impressed with Domenic's musical talent and creativity and immediately invites him to his main studio ("Hell Studios") to begin recording.
Phlamencore Records' sound engineer and producer, Adam Hornyack, teaches Domenic the techniques used to record music in the professional studio environment. Adam hornyack has extensive experience in the music industry and has worked with many successful artists including Christina Agiulera, Ben E. King, Lady Saw, and Elephant Man. Domenic's wide-ranging musical talent enabled him to play and record each individual instrument, and with Adam's help, combine the recordings to produce a successful album. Domenic is also an accomplished singer and is the lead vocalist of the songs appearing on the album "Day after Day". During the making of the album, Domenic invites some good friends to participate in some of the songs. Featured artists include Marc Rizzo, Guy Valic, Jackie Core, Rissi Palmer and Frank Machos. The "Day after Day" album has been successfully completed and will be released by Phlamencore Records by June of 2005.
While Domenic is very proud of his accomplishments, he remains a very grounded, sincere, and humble person. Domenic's dream of having a successful career in the music industry has come true with the help of Phlamencore Records and all of his close friends and family members.
