What does the unassuming gourd whisper to me?

They tantalize my creative muse with limitless forms of expression and most importantly their whispers feed my soul.

Dried gourds can be burned, carved, painted, stained, coiled, embellished, and the list goes on. They are Mother Nature's ultimate canvas. They can be functional, practical or whimsical and expressive. Hidden under their seemingly unlovely exterior is beauty waiting to be unveiled.

Art is far more than something pretty for the eyes to gaze upon. Art lovers know that it speaks to us through color and form on an intuitive level. My artwork represents the lighter and whimsical side of life. It reminds you to be joyful, lighter and has been known to evoke the “warm fuzzies”.
