Bio of Donald Brown
I have played so many styles I guess you can call me a mutt of a drummer. I can play just about any form out there and love it too, as for production. This is my 4th year as a producer and my feel for it is growing. Sound and the feel are very important to me. So saying this, I can only be better in production in time. I think every artist brings something unique when recording. I am always trying different things, playing different sounds and trying not to confine myself to one particular genre. My love for every kind of music is what makes me able to produce .The biggest challenge for me is keeping my music fresh and new. I keep an open mind about it but its very hard as a producer at times. I want to play the music not produce it. I will always have to work at that. Since I am from St. Louis I had the great honor to play with many great people. including Chuck Berry. I think that’s where I get the feeling of Rock and Roll from Chuck. I love the drum work of Mr. Drummer, Victor Lewis from the new kind of blue, nest of eggs. Mr. Uriel Jones and Papa Zita. From the best group of musicians I have ever seen -The Funk Brothers. I am close to completing the NEW ARTIST FEATURED web site that will contain unsigned and signed female artists, photos , sample Mp3s, videos , contacts , bios and more. At donaldbrownproductions.com is a wide range of photos of local unsigned, independent artists. and more. A credit page/links to all media including photos will be apart of NAF when its launched.
