Born and raised in Paris, Donald Devienne took up the trumpet at age 18 and kept growing since then. He started to play regularly in his hometown where a new generation of french jazz players was rooted.
After studying the instrument with Andrew Crocker, Donald attended the New School For Jazz in New York where he studied with Jimmy Owens and Jason Palmer.
Since then, Donald learned his craft playing in different venues in France (Baiser Salé, Habana Jazz Club) and in New York (Sweet Rhythm, Smalls, Fat Cat).
