Jus little ol me but been gathering together a few more musicians to do some recording.
Influences
At the minute: Northern Soul, Belgian bands like dEUS & Zita Swoon are never too far from my ears. Bob Dylan, Sly & the Family Stone, Jamie Lidell, Rage Against the Machine, Stevie Wonder, Tapes'n'Tapes, Part Chimp, The Noisettes, can't beat a bit of Ligeti or Arvo Part, 2 Many DJ's, Mogwai, The Beatles of course, The Pixies. And who knows what's in store for next week!!
Greetings. My name is Donal Scullion (aka: scully, scullbert, scallywag, scallywaggin). I'm probably called a lot of other things too but sure we'll not worry about that. I'm from a little place called Aughlisnafin (or to those who know it - The Finn!!) but I'm based in Belfast and have been gigging about that scene for about 4 years. I've been playing music all my life and been writing songs for years. The tunes on here are my more acoustic based songs.
I also play in a band called The NI Soul Troop - http://www.myspace.com/nisoultroop
Check us out!!
Also keep an eye out for a band called Uncle Social that will be hitting Belfast with a bang in the not so distant future!! Watch this space!
