Donna Rawlins AKA Donatella, successful songwriter, vocalist and voice artist came to Los Angeles by way of Chicago, forming the band, Trial By Fire with whom she toured internationally. In addition to acquiring various album credited vocal performances, her first solo CD entitled "Imitation Gold" (covering songs made famous by Momoe Yamaguchi) was released by Crown Records of Japan where it received critical and public acclaim.
Early in her songwriting career Billboard Magazine singled Donna out with awards for "She Keeps Crying" and "I Wanna Be There" from her "Who's Resisting Who" CD, co-written with and produced by Hit Musik Productions' Elliot Anders. Donna then teamed up with Stacy Robin to co-front the band Imaginary Friends contributing her deeper mezzo vocals and playing rhythm guitar.
Now, joining creative talents with composers / producers Eliot Waldhorn of e5 Music, Seth Hartman, Robert Feist of RavensWork and Mark Keefner of Waymo Music, Donatella "Under The Moon" - newly released on Oceanic Records, truly displays some of Donna‚s finest work. The title cut has been placed in the CBS miniseries "And Never Let Her Go" and on two episodes of the CBS hit TV series "That's Life." Additional collaborations with producer, Eliot Waldhorn have also yielded licensed songs for national television shows as well as the upcoming film, "Turn of Faith."
Donna's additional film and TV performing and songwriting credits include"Melrose Place" (Fox), "Pink Nights" (New World Pictures) and "Motel Blue" (DeMartini Anderson Productions). She has also lent her voiceover talents to many commercials (May Company, Apple Computer, Buick, Tilex, Sears, Mattel‚s Barbie, Skittles) as well as the recent PSA for The Paper Campaign with R.E.M.
