   About Don Con
Thanks for stopping by to look, listen or comment. It’s going to be hard for me to check in on MySpace for the most part since I’m living a decidedly more unplugged life in Taos, NM. I apologize sincerely for not being very responsive. What time I do have to get online I’ll be using to keep up with regular e-mail ... don@donconoscenti.com ... and to update my regular website with shows and news... www.DonConoscenti.com ... I wish you all peace and joy. Loads of it. It’s not easily come by after the havoc the Bush years has wrought ... Irreverence and good humor is encouraged here but PLEASE DON’T LEAVE PROMOTIONAL BANNERS WITH YOUR COMMENTS...PLEASE! I WILL DELETE THEM AND BLOCK ANY USERS SELLING RINGTONES OR ANY OTHER GARBAGE. This is social networking...not WalMart... unless, of course, your’re promoting peace on earth, an end to poverty, disease and the eradication of corruption...or unless they are very, very funny ...Vote, Write, E-Mail, Call your elected "leaders" (in the States go to www.congress.org). Hold them accountable. With a few admirable exceptions they’ve clearly shown they are incapable of doing it themselves. Democracy ran aground under the Bush Administration and It’ll take a lot of effort to turn back that tide.

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6!

Hi everyone!

Lots of new stuff to check out in my space at the moment: brand new design to accompany new pics and a new song called Pills for Love, which is a little pop-pill you can swallow with a generous helping of gin&tonic. And very soon there are gonna be more new tunes, as well:) Come on over!

sleeper had sixty minutes and used them all exactly as they should have been used. we played well, sang well, had fun and in the last 5 minutes all in the crowd were on their feet clapping in time, with smiling faces. if the new somomojo stuff was not so top secret i would hook you up. we practice/record every monday and wednesday without fail. i dig un-employment and life is good.

Thank you Don Con for your kind comment....means so much to me! You have been quite a bright light in my world. Many Woodyfest moments stand out, but one in particular, was when you and Terryu Buffalo Ware accompanied Alixinder Gunn on the Sunday stage....the coming together of generations through music, through life focus, mission....
You have done wonders for my friend Connie, with your song "The Other Side" ~ miracles in fact.

I'm so grateful to have the chance to know you and your music more. You really put out massive energy this year at Woodyfest. I think you might have out played RAd even! :)
I'll be here and there listening to your music and blessing the Source, so glad you are on the planet at this time!

My pleasure. Check to make sure the CD plays the way you want it to, but I think you'll be OK. The small print at the bottom didn't pop the way it dod on my computer screen. I'll have to experiment a bit more with that.

We have had a wonderful vacation here in Gorham, Maine, just outside of Portland. The Pincecrest B&B run by Matt and Amy is great. http://www. pinecrestmaine. com/
If you get a chance, talk to them about a house concert.

They serve a dinner on Friday nights and local folks come in. Very, very nicely done. They had a nice guy (Ken) come in and play instrumental jazz for most of the evening and then persuaded me to get up and jam with him.

That practice, practice practice, you were talking about paid off, Don. I got up and asked him to do one of the original pieces he had done earlier because I knew where he had gone with it. We took it and I added a whole 'nother layer using the Fender 12-string.

My fingers knew where the notes were. Very satisfying. Thanks for the nudge. I played with him for another half hour and then for another 20 minutes or so by myself.

Regards,

Ty

I kinda sorta indirectly but not really blogged about Taos tonight on my "How I Got a Baseball card-sized Photo of the Dalai Lama in my Car" or something to that affect.

I'm building up to "THE TAOS" blog. The anticipation is building. Go grab some Taos Cow ice cream from those lovely hippie chicks at the creamery. It'll tide you over - promise.
