Alpha Genesis appears in the eyes of many as the first step in the beginning for the new generation of Hip-Hop. Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 31,1985. He was convinced by his own distinctive talent that hard work, determination and dedication will make a difference. Even through the premature loss of his mother, he persevered as a lyricist and continued to flourish musically. Alpha feels privileged to have been exposed to music at an early age, thus equipping him with the experience needed to possess the lyrical potency he display’s in his songs. Some of the biggest musical influences for Alpha Genesis’s career include Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls, by observing Tupac’s songs and lyrics, he obtained a new consciousness enabling him to channel emotions from everyday struggle and manifest it in his own music, while Biggie displayed a unique format in the way he put words together, that ignited a new style of writing for Genesis. After adding these two key elements with his own knowledge and creativity, Alpha Genesis gave birth to a new and improved style of rap, utilizing his powerful voice, distinctive flows and emotionally propelled rhymes, he is a man of God, love, respect for a positive life and with adoration for women and vintage romance he portrays this in his music. Alpha Genesis has performed in many venues, receiving praises and positive feed back from the audiences no matter the nature of the event. Be it a reggae concert at the Irie Jam or a performance at the Remote Lounge he overwhelms his viewers with genuine skills and ability. In his career he has successfully opened for various artists from Sean Paul, to Papoose gaining confidence and the respect of his audience as well as his fellow rappers.
