We have been following D’JULZ for the last ten years and it is with extreme excitement that we are preparing our week-end out.
Since then he has become one of the most respected and appreciated international djs. Every week-end he is playing in the best clubs in the world (FABRIC, WATERGATE, REX CLUB,…) and during the week he produces music for the likes of OVUM, POKER FLAT, 20:20 VISION, MUSIC FOR FREAKS, etc. And now he has started his own label BASS CULTURE which has already three wicked releases in as many months. Check http://www.myspace.com/bassculturerecords
D’JULZ is pure underground house music, pure dance floor music, always groovy with big bass lines capable of hurting your hips if you let yourself go into the mood.

Saturday 3rd Oct - Organisation Clandestine and Alley Tunes present: GLIMPSE!
***** GLIMPSE (UK) LIVE @ Clandestine - Bertha Brown (6pm-1am)*****
After Sian (Poker Flat) at HonkyTonks, Pepperpot (Fr-Hello) at Ladida, Tito (Fr), Clandestine is proud to present Glimpse, from UK, signed on the most respected labels in the world, including Cadenza, Kompakt, Planet E, Four Twenty...
So far, 2009 has been a fantactic year for Christopher Spero, aka Glimpse. The last few months have seen him release the 'Drifting E.P. on Carl Craig’s Planet E Label, E.P.s on Cadenza, Get Physical/Kindisch, Buzzin Fly and a release on his own Glimpse Recordings imprint with Kompakt. Throughout 2009, he has also been composing his debut studio album on Cross Town Rebels entitled, 'Runner' which is due out in Feb 2010, as well as touring relentlessly with his live show in Japan, Australia, North/South America and Europe.
Christopher's sound is hugely influenced by his early obsessions with blues and jazz music, represented by the soulful essence captured in his music. Preferring more traditional production techniques, he uses only analogue equipment and records most of his tracks live, editing only afterwards, thus giving his music a more improvised quality.
From an early age, Christopher had an interest in jazz, blues and techno, performing in several bands and releasing electronic music on various U.K. based labels under different aliases (Attic, Olek, and Spero). He then studied sculpture at Central Saint Martin’s art college until 2000, after which he started up Glimpse Recordings with Kompakt. Glimpse is one of a few UK labels to be distributed through the Cologne-based company.
Glimpse’s records have been regular fixtures in the boxes of : Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Francois K, Laurent Garnier, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Sven Vaith, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Luciano, Dj Sneak, Loco Dice, Magda, Craig Richards, Sasha, Ben Watt, Robert Hood, Mathew Dear, Steve Bug, Slam, Jay Haze, John Digweed, Troy Pierce, Anja Schneider, Konrad Black and Adam Beyer amongst many others.
Put the sound on, vacate any work in progress, sit down and give it a real go. ENJOY! Same as in a club, you have to get loose a bit, set yourself in the vibe. Some big breaks and different journeys in this mix. Erudite and connoisseur!
To support him we have an enormous pleasure to present Dean Dixon from Haha industries in Sydney: Eccentric, eclectic, diverse; Deep & unforced, upbeat & free flowing, he gives himself no restrictions....no limitations. A true non-conformist....this readily noted by his track selection and style of mixing. A few short years after beginning his foray into the subterranean realms of dance music (as a host and as a Dj), at home on the central-eastern side of Canada, he made a sudden move to the other side of the world--Australia. Finding his feet in Melbourne, it was his weekly radio show and residencies at prolific venues, often alongside Clandestine's own max vEgas, combined with interstate gigs across the country that assisted him in concretely formatting his approach to music and as a direct result, his provision of sound.
Presently calling Syd-city his 2nd home, means Sydney-siders are privy to a wide array of sounds anytime they?re on the Dancefloor and happen to catch him at the wheels. From well aged Hip-Hop, Funk & Disco through to Afro-beat, House, Nu-disco and the more Electronic domains of Tech, Techno and Minimal....All interspersed with many unexpected and welcomed surprises along the way!
His primary ethos: Dance....Dance....Dance.
He is over joyed to be joining us on this special occasion and cannot wait to, once again alongside his original eclectic brother in arms MAXO, help you kick up your heals and shake your ass!
Supports we are proud of also: our dear Uone (Beef Redords) and recently birthday boy of our friends of LAB. Tom Ellis, MaxvEgas and Mr Pitiful being your humble and faithful residents.
Come and discover Bertha Brown. We love this venue and its owners, simply because the ambiance is there as soon as you have pushed the old little door (this door must have more than 100 years of opening and closing!): filled with old suitcases and polished concrete, filled with warmth and space at the same time, BB is THE place of choice for early parties: Funktion 1 soundsystem, big long fat bar and friendly staff. Bring a friend, order a burger and a beer, and listen.... That's all you require!
We're excited, and we hope you feel it. Come and share the secret.

Last event:
Organisation Clandestine supported LE BASTILLE BALL 09 at Sorry Grandma. It was a Sunday (and THAT specific Sunday has always been the best party in Melbourne) and it was a FANCY DRESSING PARTY (come as french, a revolutionary, a baguette, ..>!!!). What a better place than Sorry Grandma to bring on the revolution type fancy dress, party all night with freebies including champagne, escargots, croissants and lots of surprises.
Clandestine means hidden, outlawed, activist and intimate.
Organisation Clandestine is the meeting of 2 French guys at Melbourne airport. From their encounter they have discovered common passion for music and party.
“Clandestine the party is the concealed residence of underground house music in Melbourne. Clandestine is operated through a cell of only a few individuals who mastermind intimate club nights playing cutting edge house music, electro melodic, often twisted and always underground".
This clubnight is set to reunite a quality crowd, open minded and curious people. Organisation Clandestine selects the Djs that inspire, that make dance, dream, love, and feel good. The organization is art orientated and tries to reunite a quality/music/curiosity focused crowd. We consider that Clandestine is a night out of the mainstream and we're proud of it.
Our motto is "good music is good music". We ask our djs to play what they know and what they like. We want to share with them a unique musical experience and we are are very glad of the continuous postive feedback received.
Clandestine was held in Melbourne at The Public Office, HonkyTonks, 3rd Class, Ladida, Sorry Grandma and in different warehouses in Melbourne..
Organisation Clandestine also supports some quality nights, parties and promoters in Melbourne via a newsletter, see the sub box below (no phishing - press ok during the myspace alert.
