About me:
Towards the end of 1991 my wife and I were expecting our first child. During that nine month wait, writing a letter to someone that I had never met, but soon would be spending all of my waking moments with seemed like a good idea. What ended up on paper was how quickly the world was changing and how no one seemed to understand. It also mentioned how these changes affected the way many people thought and lived. Television newscasts and printed information made me aware of what was going on, but writing the letter was the first time I had stopped to reflect on that. I was too busy with my constantly changing job in a company that wasn’t sure what direction to take. Two years later my daughter found this letter and felt it would look better marked over with crayon and cut up into many different shapes. Since the letter was written for her it didn’t matter what she did with it, the direction it took was her choice. As humans we can be very versatile. God gave us the power of choice. It is up to us to decide what direction we take. The person who needed to see that letter the most was the one who wrote it. The choices that have been made since then have led me down a very different path. Life is a series of fluid events that cause us to change our plans. You may have a direction in your life, but you may also be surprised at how things are when you get there.
