    Donna Dunne is without question the most exciting artist on the Irish music scene today. With Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Wanda Jackson, the Stray Cats, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard as her main influences, Donna Dunne is bringing you 'Rockabilly for Today'. Donna has created her own unique style of 'Rockabilly' and together with her diverse band, is winning fans everywhere she performs. Donna Dunne grew up in Palmerstown, Dublin. After performing in many musicals at school Donna realized she was a 'Rock & Roll' chick. She loved listening to and watching her idol Elvis Presley. With boxes of Elvis records at home, Donna constantly listened to 'The King'. "My first recollection of Elvis was when I saw the film 'Jailhouse Rock', I remember thinking now this is what I call music. I was mostly into his early music and this era in his career has influenced me so much, especially when writing songs and performing". With her incredible high energy show, Donna has proved she is one the greatest and most charismatic performers of her generation. Producers and industry professionals in both the popular and 'Rockabilly' world are queuing up to work with her. "I want to make sure we get the right people involved in our first record. People who understand my vision and goal, who will get the best out of us and help create something special" After their acclaimed performances at the 'Seaside Rockabilly' and 'Oxjam' festivals, Donna and her band have made a name for themselves as one of the most dynamic groups in town. "I am very lucky to be working with such great musicians, it makes my job as a performer so much easier. We bounce off each other and it shows in each performance how much we love it and have fun. We are growing together as performers in this style of music and the sound we have created is unique to us weather it is a song I wrote or a cover song". Early next year will see Donna and the lads on the road performing across Ireland and the UK with some other European dates in the pipeline.
