18 years of guitar playing, spanning many genre of musical styles, AG's talent never seems to slow down and is always taking a new and amazing twist. His charisma and raw original talent has been turing heads in Portland for years and has created a sea of fans that follow each project with anticipation.
Lauded for his exquiste guitar tone - a dark warm timbre reminisent of Wes Montgomery and George Benson, he has been featured in Just Jazz Magazine and a featured artist in the Jazz Society of Oregon. He has also been recognized and awarded during many competitions and festivals as a member of the renowned jazz program at Mt. Hood Community College in his earlier years.
AG formed and fronted Grooveyard back in 1997, Zuppa in 2002 and has played and recorded with numerous artists such as Quivah, The Black Notes, Braille, Ben Jones, Life Savas, Lilla DeMone, Dave Milne, Omega Watts, Congregation, Jay Haser, Confluence, thorne city as well as, music vidoes and of course song writing.
Currently playing guitar with Liv Warfield, AG is busy honing his skills to take it to the next level.
Whatever project he is working on, it is clear that he brings it everytime. Whether it's a solo session for the caffine hunters at a local cafe, a trio of like talented jazz musicians or up on a stage a-blaze in lights, his heart and soul goes into every note. No question about it.
By day you can find AG at Five Star Guitar as an instuctor passing on his love of guitar as well as his skills to all level of players.
