A singer, a self-taught keyboardist & a songwriter by heart, Donnie C is a native of Portsmouth, VA. His first exposure to the music industry was when he was a lead vocalist in the Gospel Swannetts of Portsmouth, VA, a family gospel group. Legends in their own rights, the group performed songs like "God Is Real" & "Oh I want to See Him" during the early '90's. Donnie C, being born in a family of talented people, ignited his passion for music that also led to songwriting. His first song was titled, "You're So Special." Later, he wrote "Never Change Your Heart's Desire" & "Happiness Is Just A Step Away." Donnie C has performed up and down the east coast in various talent showcases, charitable events & concerts that include The Kessler Institute of West Orange, NJ, The YWCA of Newark, NJ, Edison Job Corps of Edison, NJ, Willet Hall in Portsmouth, VA, Uncle Louie's Restaurant of Norfolk, VA, Amarachi Lounge & Five Spot In Brooklyn, NY & Tropical Delights in Virginia Beach, VA. Donnie C has also appeared as an extra in the making of the movie My Brother in NYC & also Law & Order in 2005.
