I sound like Donnie Roberson...I've learned, you can get no where in this business sounding like someone else..My style comes from J. Paycheck, A. Tippon, and Moe & Joe..
Hi Everyone,
My name is Donnie. I'm a small town guy from Fayetteville, Al. Growing up on the horse & cattle farms. I loved listening to the Country music played at our farm on weekends. So I started learning all the music I could, waiting to hit the stage. I knew then, It was my calling. Once I finally got my chance to sing in front of my first crowd. I was hooked.. So I started begging anyone who would let me sing..Once I had it in my blood, I couldn't get it out my system.
I started my career back in the 80's. playing with local bands through out Alabama. Working with my Dad's band, and many others. I decided to take my music my own way, and find my own path. Getting in with local songwriters, and branching out on my songwriting.. Working with songwriters like Lonnie Carmack, & Don Ricks. They taught me a lot.
In June on 2000, I met a woman named Wanda Baird, Who gave me a shot on stage in Nashville, Tn. at the Earnest Tubb Theater.. I can never thank her enough, for believing in me, and helping me all she could..She was my blessing in the business. I later went back to Nashville in 2004, recording my first album called Haunted Memories. A mixture of cover songs mixed with songs of my own. Doing real well with my first album. I decided to cut my second album in 2007. With a mixture of the songs I'd written, and others from great writers from Nashville.. August 22, 2008, we released my album titled Truck Driving Honky Tonk Cowboy.. This album is doing great as well..
Since my career started, I've had a chance to Open for many of the Legends in the business, Like David Allen Coe, George Jones, Charlie Louvin, Jack Greene, Mel McDaniel, Merle Haggard, and many others. I've played venues from 35 people in bars to 35,000 fans at bigger venues..I love the Texas scene better than any other place to play. Places like Billy Bobs, in Ft. Worth, Tx. The rodeo scene is where I hope to land someday. Right now, I'm working on new material for my third alum we're planing on releasing in 2010..Watch for Donnie, He'll be coming to your town soon..God Bless You All!!!!

Good morning my precious friend,
When you really want something, sometimes you have to swim a little
deeper...You can't give up just because things don't come easy..You
have to overcome the obstacles and face your fears..But in the end,
its all worth while! Life if full of up and downs but if you believe in
yourself you will always come through with flying colors...Value
friendship, love and faith.Never underestimate yourself..Believe in
Yourself! Dreams and hopes do come true we just have to believe in our
selves..Just remember when one door close there is always an other
waiting for us to open it. Just have to go after our dreams and hopes a
little different. Today is a new day just do your best and just be YOU!
On my rough days it is friends like YOU that help me make it through
that day and give me hope again to try again! Thank you!!! I want you
to know I believe in YOU... Hope you have a fantastic day and a
wonderful night..I have to work the late shift today~oh what fun, it
will be fun cause that is only way I will let it be! big smiles....
Take care my dear friend...Thank you for adding me to your friends....
love, big hugs and smiles from your friend always,
Donna XOXO
Drop by and listen to "The King and I" at the top of the play list. Judy DeRamus with The Jordanaires a few years back recorded "The King And I". The song went #1 in the national charts. Judy was given a #1 party at the SESAC building on 16th Ave. Nashville, TN. There Judy and The Jordanaires were honored with several recognitions from the music industry and the Governor of Tennessee.
