Running my business is a big one, I guess. Yes, that's quite boring, but necessary in order for it to be successful. We manage and market auto dealer websites.
I also like hiking mountain trails.
And spending lots and lots of time with my son.
And watching movies, particularly independent films.
And going for long drives.
And listening to lyrics, trying to find something that moves me.
And when said lyrics do indeed move me, to wonder what the writer of the song was experiencing when he wrote it...
...or if it was just for commercial reasons.
And crying when something strikes me as sad.
And laughing when something strikes me as "happy".
And working on myself, constantly, with the hope that someday I'll be a better person.
And surfing the Internet, looking for something interesting to read about.
And blogging (but rarely on myspace).
And...
...living.

About me: If you missed the Nightline Debate I was on, along with Craig Gross, Ron Jeremy and Monique Alexander, here it is:
The Nightline ABC Debate, Filmed at Yale University
Here's Part 1 of 2, showing what aired on Nightline ABC, with Ron Jeremy, Monique Alexander, Craig Gross and yours truly. Scroll down for part 2, as well as the full, unedited debate. In the unedited version I speak much, much more:

Here's part 2 of 2, showing the rest of what aired on Nightline ABC:

Here's the full, unedited debate (1 hr, 20 minutes). My points are much better made, as are Craig's, in this version:

For 9 years I was a Christian-hating porn producer. That changed on September 25th, 2006, the day I surrendered my life to the God who created me. I've written a little bit about that . My life has definitely changed a lot since that day.
I've done my share of complaining about the Church. I've seen a lot of hypocrisy and self-righteousness. I've heard and witnessed a lot of horrible things done in the name of Jesus. But a wise woman pointed out to me that being judgmental of the judgmental is still... judgmental. That realization changed my perspective. It's my goal to love everyone without judgment: Christian, Muslim, Atheist... REALLY love them. It's not my place to judge. Nor is it yours.
"Instead of complaining," I tell myself, "Why not get out there and DO something?!" And that is what I intend to do. Right now I've been fortunate enough to be asked to speak all over the country, in front of thousands upon thousands of people. And I hope God continues to use my story to bring hope and positive changes to the lives of some of those who hear what I have to say.
I believe that only love and education, not legislation, can change hearts. I believe the church needs to stop trying to legislate morality and start acting more like Jesus. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" applies to all of us. And since none of us are spotless, let's leave the judging to someone who is, mmm'kay? Let's stop trying to scare people into heaven and just love everyone. Sound like a plan?
And to those who have been hurt by the Church:
For what it's worth, I am sorry. Those of us who claim to be Christians really need to start acting more "Christ Like" (which is what that word "Christian" is supposed to mean). We should love you, regardless of who you are or what you've done. I doubt I'll be able to live up to such a huge calling either, but feel free to call me on it when I don't. I definitely WANT to be Jesus in skin as often as possible to as many as possible.
But please don't forget that God and those who claim to represent Him are not one and the same. God loves you. There is NOTHING you could ever do to make Him love you any less. Nothing.
I write (a LOT) on my website: DonnysRamblings.com
(check it out, and leave a comment)
Who I'd like to meet: I love meeting new people, so I'd say "Who I'd Like to Meet" would include just about anyone able to hold a conversation. I'm always up for meeting new friends, male or female.
I wrote this really long thing on your blog today... This is why I should be more occupied than I currently am on a daily basis. Anyway, hope you're doing awesome. :)
dude, seriously go watch dinesh dsouza debate these two guys:
daniel dennet (kills him, dennet has no debating skills at all)
dan barker( actually this guy does a pretty good job in debating)
id still love to see dsouza and dawkins. you know im getting to see a pattern with richard dawkins and his arguments. the more debates you watch, he uses the same old arguments. when the questions get pointed he seems to dodge alot. for instance whenever its asked to him about where the first cell or microorganism came from, he always seems to dodge the question. because evolution needs life in order to operate. laws in themselves do not create. they need a substance to act upon. gravity didnt create the earth and the moon...it acts upon objects that are already in place. the same with evolution. but to be quite honest, i dont have as much respect for dawkins as i once did. he uses evolution of the gaps claims all the time and is basically an athiest fundamentalist. athiesm is not science nor is it a scientific claim. its a world view and the guy definitely has an agenda. you should check out the debate between dawkins and john lennox. its great.
I have one more for ya. Daniel looks so pissed off ;) It was either because he just got in trouble for biting me or we couldn't watch t.v. You sort of resemble Kirk Cameron lol
Hey sweetie! :) Was thinking about you yesterday and thought I would send a hello and see how things are going for you!?? How are you? Busy as ever? God bless and take care of you hope to hear from you soon!
Oh yeah? Sweet. I like Chico better than Redding, though. But I suppose if you've got a good set up, it doesn't really matter, as long as it's not Corning, that place is drab.
I've been up to... eh. Recovered from my oral surgery. Other than that, lot's of studying and exams.
