Roy Orbison singin' lead for Lynard Skynard, HA HA HA!
I was born and raised in Burleson. My singing career began in North Texas clubs around the age of five. Things really launched for me in the famous Fort Worth Stockyards and by the age of ten I had performed all over Texas as well as Branson, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee. This included a spot with Kids N Country which spawned a Saturday morning TV show called "Country Kids" of which I was a cast member. Following this I joined the group later known as The Texas Gold Miners in Branson, MO. (Members of The Texas Gold Miners have dispersed to play with many big acts like Kenny Chesney and others)
During my teenage years I started playing lead guitar. After entering and winning numerous singing contests, I began playing with groups with which I opened for a series of big acts, like: Jerry Lee Lewis, Gary Stewart, Toby Keith, Jack Greene, Hank Thompson, Kitty Wells, Asleep at the Wheel, Boxcar Willy and many others. It has been a wild and crazy ride!
Glenda and I love to perform and we take pleasure and are truly honored to see so many familiar faces at every event we play. Your support inspires us to keep writing songs!
If you haven't come before, or if you've been to every show, join us for our next appearance. We will be sure you have a great time!
