    The Do Not Mail campaign, a project of ForestEthics, aims to give you the choice to take back your mailbox and save the environment.

    In 2003, Congress created the national Do Not Call Registry, the most popular consumer rights bill in history. Today, we need a registry to end the onslaught of junk mail. Help establish a national registry—modeled after the landmark Do Not Call Registry—to stop unwanted junk mail from entering our homes.

    Over 42,000 people have signed the petition to show our government and the direct mail industry that we want a national registry to give us an easy and comprehensive way to opt out of junk mail. We also support state initiatives to establish Do Not Mail registries.

    It’s time we told junk mailing companies to stop junk mail. It’s time to take our mailboxes back.

    Personally, I hate parking lots --- but we have so many of them! Sitting there, doing nothing but heating up the atmosphere, so solar parking lots! Community-sustained, secure, renewable electricity! Bonus = community jobs! All over America! So I’m back at university learning GIS to analyze each town’s paved parking areas (Greensboro NC (pop 247,000) has 10.27 square miles of it that will power over 500,000 homes (every year) if covered with photovoltaics!) and I’m starting put_a_lid_on_it …………..……….
