I play requests and the music that will make the party rock. At the same time, I try to please all age groups. I usually play the older music early on and transition to the newer latest hits as the evening progresses.

About me:
My name is Don Paul. I'm an experienced disc jockey and MC. I own and operate Five Star Entertainment with my handsome grandson Brandon in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. He helps set up, take videos (which I do for free), and tear down. Our service will give you the personal attention and professionalism you deserve. We repeatedly exceed our customer's expectations by maintaining a level of service above most other entertainment services. You can be assured you that your entertainment will be provided by a professional well experienced in the field.
I began my career in the music business as the lead singer for a Rock Band when I was a teenager. We were the Amboy Dukes. We were good, real good, but the war in Viet Nam took away a couple of members and that broke us up. Ted Nugent sort of borrowed our name. My musical career pretty much came to a halt then until 1980 when I decided to go to Broadcasting School. In the early eighties I was a Radio personality in Columbus, and N.E. Ohio. I came to the conclusion however, that the people who run Radio Stations for the most part are idiots who don't know good from bad and can't recognize talent. In Columbus I was told when I was hired at WCOL not to try to be a Star. Oh Really? What do you say to that right out of Broadcasting school? I did my best despite those words and got fired for being too good. I then went to a small station in central Ohio WXIZ and I was a Big Star in a little town working for peanuts. I then got a gig doing the afternoon drive at WZLE in Lorain for about a year. But then after change of ownership from a light Rock format to Christian ownership, we all got the ax. I was fired by Christian hypocrites. Well, that was the last straw and I gave up on Radio and program director morons. I then decided to do clubs for a while. In 1983 I was the head DJ at a newly open cabaret called the 100th Bomb Group and packed em in every weekend.I did that for several years and then I turned to Weddings and corporate parties. More money, more gratifying and No Radio management asshole to put up with.
I started my business and named it Five Star Entertainment back in 1988, a name I knew that I would have to live up to and I think I have. I'm proud of the reputation that I've developed through hard work and dedication to my clients over the years. I put forth a lot of effort and pride into whatever I do. I love life and people and I will continue to make as many people happy as I can as long as I'm still able to.
