Chicago's trying to pass an ordinance that will basically shut down ALL venues smaller than 500+ seating. Anyone promoting entertainment will be required to get a promoter's license and liability insurance, which the venues already have.
This doesn't just affect Chicago acts. Anyone looking to perform in the third largest market will have to get this license. Where will you play? Where will you perform? Where will you experience entertainment in any form?
