He has a Gold Album for the song he co-wrote for Pat Benatar called
"Cerebral Man" (Winfield/Schiff) on her "Wide Awake In Dreamland"
album.
Scored music for a few films: "Live From Death Row", "Family
Values",
"84 Charlie Mopic" and did a little acting in those films as well.
(Heavy on the word "little" Don says... "Don't blink you'll miss me!")
He started as a bassist/songwriter
and then around 1975 started playing the "Chapman Stick".
Later in 2000, Stick Enterprises and Ned Steinberger
(of Steinberger guitars fame) collaborated and invented the NS/Stick.
Both instruments are tapped.
(Much like a piano has two handed parts - these have that capacity as
well);
and can play bass and guitar at the same time.
The uniqueness to the NS/Stick is that you can pluck, pick and tap it.
He has developed techniques that incorporate any of these
techniques
combined at the same time.
Given the first NS/Stick to develop styles and techniqes on,
he has continued to do so since it's inception.
His CD "Peering Over Clouds" is all NS with drums/percussion.
In whatever language you choose from the above compilation, the message and the intention are both still the same - have an absolutely fabulous day and save me some cake!!!

I wanted you to know that I have now finally uploaded some of my work to my page - even though it's actually not a music page!!!
These clips are in sequential order and they are all excerpts taken from a particular concert that I put on here in Melbourne almost 2 years ago for an audience of around 800 people.
I programmed, arranged and recorded all of the orchestral arrangements here in my studio as well as a couple of backing harmonies that you'll notice from time to time.
The whole show went for a couple of hours, but these 6 clips together only run for about 35 minutes.
If you have the time and the interest I'd like to invite you to watch all 6 clips and maybe give me your comments if it's not too much trouble. Your opinions would be highly valued and gratefully received.
Anyway I hope that you're going really well, happy and healthy, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hey Don,
Have a wonderful Pesach and a great time celebrating with your family, remembering why we were all set free, so that we can fulfill our unique part in the plan.
Hey Don! How's it going today? I recently saw a video clip of you playing (shredding) the NS Stick at a Namm show. Man, it was so good it frightened me! You have the Chops of Doom.
We just posted a new song here if you feel like checking it out. Take care - Matt
