    I'm Don Smith, born in Pascagoula, Mississippi , home town of Jimmy Buffet , 3 doors down, Judson Spence,Atomship, and others. Grew up a son of a sailor in this little coastal town, went to Pascagoula High, college at Ole Miss ( engineering degree),worked for a while for PPG industries, decided to be the artist I already was , went to art school (William Carey ,BFA sculpture, MEd art).Ive been writing and singing songs since I was a little boy, done some interesting things in music i.e singing with 3 doors down at cpr fest, singing the class song( that i wrote) for vancleave high school at the ms coast colisieum, wrote song for an independant film( ive acted in about 10 movies and a bunch of tv commercials), wrote theme song for an outdoors show, painted 3 doors down's 1st cd cover,recorded with Margie Joseph( legendary ms blues and r&b singer, sang at the world's fair,and a bunch of other stuff , but this is starting to feel like a book so I'll save it for the autobiography.I teach high school and started playing music with some of my students and it has turned into a sort of circus act call ed room 39 ( my classroom number). I think I finally have the courage to pursue this music and art stuff in spite of a lifetime of set backs. If you want to know more about me ,listen to the songs.
