His work can also be heard in feature films ("The Bodyguard", "Home Alone") and television commercials. In addition to studying with jazz greats Darius Brubeck and John Meheegan, Mark studied classical piano at Syracuse University where he graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Music Degree.
Who I'd like to meet: MARK ALEXANDER SIGNS DEAL TO PRODUCE JAZZ PIANO ALBUM!
Mark has just signed a deal with Creative Entity Music to produce an album for widely acclaimed jazz pianist and personal friend of mine, Michael Weinstein (www.myspace.com/mweinsteinmusic). The album will feature a unique blend of classic rock songs, jazz tunes and other songs from the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s while incorporating a contemporary style of jazz, blues and funk.
It will also include original songs by Mark and Michael as well as feature Mark playing keyboards on many of the songs along with Michael. I’m really looking forward to the release of this record later this year and will keep everyone posted to its progress!
Thanks once more for your sustain on the blog. I hope you're having a nice time, not too much work with your sites. Have a nice and (I guess) sunny day. Hugs
