I'm into Politics, magic stuff, comic books, karaoke, Star Trek (not so much TOS but I can handle a little at a time), Music, TV (how did I live without Tivo all these years?), Movies, Books (yes, actually reading them), and of course...food.
Music
Big fan of coliseum bands of the 70's...Queen, Boston, Foreigner, Kansas, Styx (my wife still makes fun of me for that one). I am also into the songwriters of that time. Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond (got a problem with that?), Tom Waits, Lyle Lovett, etc.
I also like a lot of new stuff. The Killers, White Stripes, Creed (yes, I'm made fun of for that one, too), Weezer, Barenaked ladies and of course...me first and the gimme gimmees! there are many others I like tfrom the 60's and 70's and 90's but there are too many to list.
Movies
God, where do I begin with movies? First, I have to say that Rob Reiner is a very underrated director. He has directed all of the following films that have made my top 20: Spinal tap, When Harry met Sally, A few Good men, Princess Bride, the sure thing, the American President and, although not in my top 20, should be honorably mentioned...Stand By Me.
Of course the first 2 Godfathers (I even sorta liked the 3rd one), Being There, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the Sting.
Then there are movies that just catch me at a good time and I like no matter what. I'm a big Tom Hanks fan from way back in Bosom Buddies so I like a lot of his stuff. As a matter of fact, "That thing you do" is one of my all time favorite movies and he directed. I even love Joe Vs the Volcano.
I like Scifi, comedy, action, some drama (not too much, please) Some foreign (the Cook, the Thief, his wife and her Lover is still one of my all time faves). I can do blockbuster movies as much as independent films, although the indies are getting so much better.
Television
The Shield, House MD, Anything star trek, the daily show, South park, Venture Brothers, family Guy, Simpsons, Robot chicken, Entourage, Las Vegas, Queer Eye, the 4400,Rescue me, Cheaters, Monk, Cops (one of my guilty pleasures). Some reality shows like the biggest loser, the entertainer, American Idol but only in the beginning when they are auditioning. Couldn't care less who wins.
I won't watch any of the CSI clones. No law and order, Lost, survivor, ER, desperate housewives...all that stuff that everybody watches because everybody else is watching and they don't want to be left behind.
Books
The Burke series by Andrew Vachss is the first that comes to mind. If you are looking for a gritty crime noir type book, he's your guy. I'm into a lot of Scifi and fantasy books. I read all the Shannaras, star trek, Raymond Feist, Asimov, the stainless steel rat series. I also like Robert Ludlum, Stephen King (I have to pick and choose his stuff..the Stand is still his all time best) Peter Straub. Yes, even the Harry Potter books!
Who I'd like to meet: Other entertainers, Monty Python fans, comic book geeks (and nongeeks) any hot women interested in a rather large but "great personality" single guy! (yeah, I'll hold my breath)
Oh, and also, this guy!

Walter has been nominated for his star and waltersstar.com has raised the money to manufacture and install the star (Thanks!). All Walter needs now is the votes of the Walk of Fame Committee. Greetings and salutations,
My best friend Mark Williams (a.k.a.) Admiral Kirk needs your vote to win a Star Trek: TOS Captain's Chair in the final round of the Roddenberry. com's 2008 Member of the Year contest. Mark and I "Gary (a.k.a.) Mr. Spock" are best known for our "Kirk And Spock" shows that we put on at conventions. The 2008 STARBASE INDY convention on Thanksgiving weekend featured us as part of their main entertainment. We had performed "Spock's Brain". I hope that we can get the video of our performance on YouTube in the near future. Another great reason to vote for Mark is that I only live a few miles from his house! After all, I have been and always shall be his friend.
