Miss Georgia Peach is a band starring, well, Miss Georgia Peach leading the way with her show stopping lead vocals. In 2008 MGP is singing and playing live shows and working on new original songs. Updates and shows will be posted!
On the songs from the All-Star recording session in Lexington, KY, recorded in 2006, guitarist Ruyter Suys shows her killer chops and amazing versatility on leads and backing vocals - you thought she was just Nashville Pussy's guitar rock goddess! She knows country, too! Blaine Cartwright's bad-ass style as frontman of Nashville Pussy and songwriter and guitar slinger of Nine Pound Hammer sounds right at home in the country milieu. Fellow Kentuckian Mark Hendricks plays perfect 60's and 70's country music bass keeping the pace with Travis Ramin (well known all-around musician, producer and girl group guru) on drums - all snap and finesse. This band started as a studio project among friends but was so fun to do that the group went out playing festivals, released a single on Ramo Records and plans to tour and finish the album that started it all.
OUR FIRST SINGLE IS READY!! RELEASE DATE NOVEMBER 6, 2007!! Starring MISS GEORGIA PEACH (Short Fuses, Nikki Corvette and the Stingrays), BLAINE CARTWRIGHT (Nashville Pussy, Nine Pound Hammer), RUYTER SUYS (um...duh...NASHVILLE PUSSY), MARK HENDRICKS (Nine Pound Hammer, Black Cat Bone) and TRAVIS RAMIN (Fevers, Nikki Corvette, Short Fuses, Tina and the Total Babes...etc etc). Additional musicians include Scott Luallen (duet vocals) of NINE POUND HAMMER, and Fred Sexton (pedal steel). A full album was recorded in Lexington, KY by Hammer drummer Brian Pulito in his Nitrosonic Studio. Currently DANIEL REY is working on mixing more of the songs. It was a secret site that we used to share mixes until November 10, 2006 when we went "public". Thanks for being our friend!

If you're around on Thursday, December 10th, we are playing a show at Mario's Keller Bar. I don't know if you've been there, but it's a very cool place. It's a comfortable space, the room sounds great and they have a stellar beer selection.
Also, we will be playing ALL NIGHT! We'll play some funky, bluesy, and soulful music. We'll project live video onto a 9 ft screen. We'll play some older material that hasn't been heard in awhile, as well as some brand new songs that've never been heard. All bets are off!! We'd love it if you'd come down and listen/party with us!

Blood Root Mother will be playing at Trocaderos in Minneapolis on Friday, June 26th. I cannot stress enough how awesome this show will be!! We're playing with three of the sweetest local rock bands: Claret, Niobium and Casanatra. If you haven't heard these guys, check them out immediately! Please come to this show!!
I recommend stopping by during happy hour for two for one drinks along with free buffet, which is delicious. We'll be hanging out at Trocs all night, so come by and chill/party with us :)
