Doof formed fully at the beginning of 2004 to perform as an ensemble for GCSE as The Doof: Tom Bushby leading vocals on rhythm guitar, Max Jones playing lead, Joel Murray on bass and Phil Downing on drums. Eventually, the 'The' was dropped after GCSE and the band began to gig in places such as The Edge, The Shed and The Attik. Performances in churches, sports stadiums and charity events have spread the name of Doof and in their third year are still gigging. Max has left and after a stint as a three-piece, 'Big' Tom Stones has taken his place, creating a very rounded sound and increasing the band's popularity in Leicester.
January 2008 and Doof have began recording. EP for sale TBC.
