I have quite a bit of influences. I like most types of rock/metal, and I derive a lot of creativity and influence from a very large plethora of styles, but here is a short list of the metal bands I have going on in my collection now:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Monty Python's Life of Brian, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (both), Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Boondock Saints, Excalibur, most Tarrantino films, and many more. Basically, anything scary, funny, intelligent, or shocking, I dig it.
Television
The greatest show of all time...DETHKLOK!!!!!!! All others of lesser importance but are entertaining as well include The Sopranos, Lost, The Family Guy, American Dad, History Channel, Discovery Channel, etc. Don't really watch that much television; I've seen most of these just downloading them online.
I'm the guitar player in a band called Skylab. We're about to release the first album, Artificial. The album is done, but we need a bassist and singer for the live set. He/She will be a full member of the band.

Basically, I'm an American guy who decided to stay in Italy after separating from the USAF. I play guitar and listen to a lot of different style of music, primarily metal. My band, Skylab, is currently searching for a lead singer to complete our project and play live as the album has recently been completed. I'm a fast rhythm guitarist and prefer the lead stylings of David Gilmour to shredders like Yngwie Malmsteen. I've teamed up with a brilliant new drummer from Tarvisio, which you can see in my friend's list called E.P., and together we are searching for serious, talented musicians who want to make something powerful, dark, and heavy. If you live in this part of Italy, drop me a line and maybe we could jam together and/or collaborate on the new project.
