Born in the winter of 2006 in doomy southern Maine of New England, Stasis began it's metal journey into the blackened cosmos. These amp-worshipping hard-hitters made their first realization as a band on the 'Stasis was Born' demo. With only two members, Richard and Leo made a new demo with vocals called, 'We are Falling Upward.' Doom-metal.com described it as "Chugging drone/doom with strong elements from doomcore and scream-your-lungs-out vokills."
Line-up changes ensued... But before long, they found their band good enough to play live shows. After a few months and a few gigs, some more lineup changes took place. Once again, STASIS came back even better than before with a new bass player, Moses, and new drummer, Brendan (both old friends of the band). Stasis is now ready to roll over and enjoy the cool side of the pillow... Fueled by drudging riffs, at times melodic or sensitive, at others mind-crushingly heavy and discordant, oppressive with slamming bass, and drumming that is groovy and huge... this is Stasis.
