doomsday cauldron--- The collapse of america cd.
okay, so it all started for me with seeing these guys in milwaukee w/tattoos all over thier faces. I was enarmored, felt like i had found my people, especially when i found them playing a record by a traditional celtic crossed with black metal band at the bar we were all hanging out in! Eventually i was in town and found out thier band was playing. I was pretty stoked. I was also pretty drunk and remember loving them for being so peace punk, but also thinking they were kinda terrible in that "we are really drunk too, and havent played in years and now were playing in a small basement, but its cool" kinda way. I loved it. Then we all went out 80s dancing. So it is that these boys are some of the best and strangest folks i know. Mixing up the worlds of tribal pagan punks, hippies and squatter punks, they are the ultimate anarcho-peace punks probably becuse they are literally doing thier own think and not really following the trends in the current scene at all. So when i got handed thier 2004 recordings in a big dvd type case I wasnt sure what to expect. I was pretty stoked from the first listen as this is actually better than i had expected. and there are some really great elements that got thier hooks in me and have grown on me and now im ecstatically stoked about this. Its very peace punk-- lyrically theyre singing about the fall of the world, and working together and building a better one. They have some full on crusty type songs with harsh screamed vocals traded off with some great echoey harmonies and its those parts that have really got the sinkiers under my skin,, All the lyrics are fucking amazing. Im inspired and in love. Its great to be able to have it turned back to me that when shit is fucked and the darkness takes you over, you should turn off your tv, throw away your clock away, grab the ones you love, dance under the moon and rise up and above it all,and following your heart back into the sun. the darkness is falling song really kicks my ass, its epic and folky and acoustic and could be construed as quite hippy like, but fucking-a Im a hippy and this shit is the best damn punk rock ive heard in ages. This cd is full of samples that remind us how the goverment tries to make you feel helpless and powerless and under control, and they are done (the sound bytes) along with electronic samples that all just work. So often with that sort of thing, I love the message once and then just want to get on to the punk song, but this works as a whole withe sound bytes mixed over top of some electronic samples, or melodic acoustic guiter playing. Kinda reminds me of a cross between Dead Silence and some early 90s so. cal peace punk band that spent some time in C-Squat in NYC and then got gritty on the nomadic circus, which is pretty much the truth. I cant tell you how to get ahold of this cd cause there is no address, but they are no doubt somewhere in milwaukee the town they call home...chris...

June 09. so much has come to past, these celebrations, these songs the lore or folk of what weve been in the past and what we expierence.. You write these songs about this shit and then the challenge arises to you, in dreams, thoughts and events that surround you. It seems that alot of us, that are, or were, or not anymore part of this herr group, are going thru a bit of a visit to the underworld at present... sometimes in lil bits, sometimes like a fucking pyschic wiplash.. Massive bangover bro.. anyway., we look forward to getting out some of the old shit and stuff. The doomsday cult is alive and well in some form or another. We did shows for years and years in milwaukee, living at differnt houses, settting up the basements and such, playing with many, many bad ass fucking bands of all types of the diy spectrum. a couple lil tours. The ashes have been stirred, and the cauldron is getting hotter. this time around, outta denver...
Born out of a street kid, gutter punk,squatter past, the four original members of this politically charged, pagan enspired, peace punk band came together in 1998 out of colective need to comunicate a powerful message. The fight for Freedom and Liberty in a growing police state, where your choices are far slimmer than your souls desire. An unbreakable bond to our Mother Earth, whose lifes blood is being drained away by powerful families who are hell bent on the destruction of human kind as we know it. And of the power we have through love.
Over the years a few changes in the line up have occured, but the core three members have stayed the same. And after a few hiatuses, have returned in a desparate time with a desparate message. We must stop the NEW WORLD ORDER.

Doom will never die, DOOMRAISER too! As one door closes, another opens. Valerio has decided to leave the band; he wants to concentrate more on his other projects. We all wish Valerio the best of luck with his new vocation. He was, and remains, a formidable guitarist and was an integral part of DOOMRAISER.
However, it is with great pleasure that DOOMRAISER announce that Valerio’s replacement is to be none other than our good friend and brother, the fearsomely talented musician Willer. He played bass with evil blacksters Grimness and he’s involved in Black Land, an awesome and obscure heavy psychedelic band from Rome. Practices have been going very well, and Willer is already adding a new, acid and exciting dimension to the band as a whole. His first gig will be at Sinister Noise Club in Rome on the 21th November: a special and drunken night celebrating the birthday of one of the most important Italian underground rock scene club!
