My name is Vanessa Hamilton or Venomous Vanessa.


This is a space to help promote my art, the models I work with along with any projects that I have going on and promoting other friends and artists in their pursuit of changing the world.



Vanessa Hamilton has been photographing some of the most interesting and captivating people, places and things since 2001. The focus has always been trying to capture the interesting and beauty that is in the world around us, even sometimes in the most unfathomable places. The main focus has always and always will be the art and the adventure that she takes her spectators on with her photography.

Vanessa does a lot of work with portrait photography, and the models that she specializes in assembling with are models that are not your typical models you see in a Victoria Secret ad or some tanning advertisements. Although the subjects she selects are very beautiful and captivating, she prefers models that are non-traditional, like herself. She prefers to photograph individuals not molds of what society deem as beautiful and worthy of being photographed.

With her motto of “You don't take a photograph, you make it”, that she has taken from the late Ansel Adams proves that she does take her photography very seriously and is an artist that believes in letting the art speak for its self and not her for it. Everyone has their own idea of beauty and art. She simply feels that it is up to the viewer to take what they will from the piece or pieces not for her to tell them how they should feel, when they view it.

She has had works published in regional, national and international magazines. Never giving up or sacrificing the work, her integrity and the vision she has for her work to say about her and her desire to create. She feels that the journey of artist development is never ending and should always be expanding. Just as the storm chasers are after that next great storm, the clashes of natural forces that make people stand in awe, she too continues to chase after her goal to create her next great photograph that leaves everyone in awe.
