.. While on tour with different bands in 1975, the paths of now rock legends Clive Neilsen and Johnny Dregg crossed and Rock n’ Roll history would never be the same! From the pits of hell SATAN himself (along with Clive, Johnny, and former band members Elliot Stevens and Chrys Collins) from fire and brimstone formed the band that would forever be known as DOPPELGANGER! After well publicized break-ups and make-ups and an eventual implosion that saw the band destroyed and Elliot and Chrys turn to christ (forming the christian heavy metal band JESUS FREAK) it appeared that Doppelganger was doomed...

But then in 2006, like the pheonix rising from the mothaf*@$ing ashes Doppelganger returned and Clive and Johnny have been rocking audiences in small "grassroots" clubs ever since hoping to regain the glory they once possessed (by that I mean free women and drugs). They currently perform a "storytellers" style show of all of their "greatest hits", as chosen by their most adoring fans at the shows.

Johnny Dregg bio:

Johnny Dregg was born Along the South Jersey Shore to Jewish immigrant parents, Miles and Molly Dredburg. Officially, his name is Johansen Dredburg, but after joining his first band, Big Swing – a polka-driven, Big Band, disco-mix octet, his manager at the time suggested he change his name to Johnny Dregg as, “no one would take a Jewish musician seriously unless their name was Pearlman.” Johnny Dregg has officially been credited with coining the term “Jocker” – Jewish rocker. Other notable “Jockers” include Gene Simmons (Klein) of Kiss and David Lee Roth (Rothberg) of Van Halen.

In addition to co-founding Doppleganger with Clive Nielsen, Johnny Dregg’s other notable projects have included, but are not limited to the following:

1) The DNA Song” – Hey, We’re Twins; Volume I – CD/DVD (Mary/Kate and Ashley Olsen)

2) Various MIDI-driven ringtones for Cingular, Sprint, etc.

3) Co-writer/producer – “So Hip to Be Square” (Huey Lewis and the News)

4) Executive Producer – “In a Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy” (Pat Boone)

5) Co-writer – “Rot From the Inside Out, Whore!” (GWAR)

6) Music/score – “No More Pizza for Louie” – Episode17; Life With Louie

Clive Neilsen bio:

Clive Neilsen was born Samuel Oliver Neilsen VI to a very wealthy upper class family in London, England. After a strange shake up in the ministry of defense Clive’s father was banished from the country and his mother disappeared when Clive was 5.

At the age of 14 Clive dropped out of school and began singing with two battling bands in his hometown. While the frontman for Planet Now he gained notoriety for proclaiming to the local newspaper that "the lead singer for The Pickpockets sounds like his head is stuck in a horses arse!" when actually he himself was the singer for both bands at the time, battling for a record contract.

Clive was the frontman for 12 bands in a span of 8 yrs before meeting Johnny Dregg on tour. the two instantly became inseperable and formed Doppleganger!

Other notable tidbits:

--One of the first cast members to sign on for Big Brother celebrity Edition in England before getting ejected on the first night for having his "friends" break into the house with hookers.

--Has made 4 solo albums, all of which were recorded in different genres...none of which cracked the billbord top 300. (southern rock, country, punk, and crooner).

--Has been arrested 10 times and been to rehab 15 times, and wrote a tell all book entitled "All the shit famous people told to me in confidence while in jail and rehab."
