God created us in His own image
to worship and glorify Him;
He's given to us His bread of life
and His living water filled to the brim!
He knew us in our mother's womb
before to us, she gave birth;
He gave life to every living creature
that draws breath upon this earth!
He's aware of every thought we
have and every breath we take;
His love is never ending, though
we fail and make mistakes!
He's our refuge when we're troubled
and when we're filled with sorrow;
We know He'll be beside us through
all of our tomorrows!
He's given us His gift of life,
and from sin has set us free;
For it was He who paid our debt
that bought our liberty!
Oh how wonderful and blest our
lives can surely be,
When we strive to live together in
peace and harmony!
When we give to Him, all honor,
our worship and our praise;
He will dwell within our hearts
and guide us in His ways.
Let us live for Him who shed
His blood on Calvarys rugged
tree;
For us He gave His life that
we might live victoriously!
One day He's coming back to
earth for you and for me;
We'll dwell with Him forever
throughout all etrernity!

My name is Dori. I currently live in Concord NC, recently moved from FL, but originally from Pennsylvanina. I am a single mom of 3 boys: 13,17,and 18. My 18 year old lives with his dad. I have been diagnosed with lupus SLE, but they are now questioning it due to new dr's. I'm a very strong individual who although sometimes gets down with life, refuses to let it get the best of me. I'm a fighter and that's the only way to be if you want to survive in this world. I'm not like many other people I know. I think and worry alot about the people that I call friends and especially family. I would help anyone in almost any way possible. I believe I am here on this earth for a purpose, but am still trying to determine that exact purpose. I deal with alot of health issues, due to everything, and sometimes get down about it. I am very alone, keep most of my feelings about my health and life to myself. (I have a hard time opening up, although I'm trying)

I'm very close with my family. Family is everything. Especially parents. They don't stay around forever. So, we have to enjoy what we can while they're here.

The people I'd like to meet are "friends" that want true friendship. Not this one sided deal that many of us get. Ones that are willing to take the time, even ocassionally to call, drop a message from myspace and be concerned about other's situations without being judgemental or giving sympathy. That's one thing I hate is people wanting to give their sympathy for anything. Be down to earth, understanding, and sincere. Support your friends, have empathy but not sympathy. Sympathy in my opinion is only going to bring a person further down.
I like friends that can chat about just about anything, make people laugh and give positive emotional support when needed. We could all use as much positivity as we can obtain. The world is full enough with negativity.
