Originally a founder of One Dove in 1991, Dot released one LP, "Morning Dove White"...a lauded Weatherall-produced post-club classic. She then signed to Heavenly Records and in 1999 released her critically acclaimed debut solo LP, "Afterglow", which topped college radio charts in America. Afterglow's classic-pop beauty featured collaborations with Mani (Stone Roses), Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine), Arab Strap and Hal David, among others.
Following Afterglow's release, Dot toured internationally for a year before settling back into the studio to record "We are Science", her Dave Fridmann/Keith Tenniswood/self-produced second solo LP, where Mercury Rev dropped by Tarbox Studios to play on Strung Out and Lover with her... all released in 2002...
In 2003 and 2004 Dot found herself performing before huge audiences as a featured guest artist with Massive Attack on two of their world tours, and composed with them along the way. She then performed on the 'Bilo Albion' acoustic tour, co-headlining with Pete Doherty on several songs they had written together, after which she joined his band The Babyshambles for their 'Stone Me What A Life' tour in 2004, again singing all her collaborations with Peter.
At the end of 2004 Dot went back into the recording studio to focus on her solo music. Her EP "Beneath The Ivy" (released August 18th, 2006 on Universal Digital) was produced by Tim Simenon and Geoff Smith, and mastered by Kramer (producer of Low, Daniel Johnston and Galaxie 500 among many others)...
There is also a duet between Dot and Bobby Gillespie of the song, "Up Against the Wall Red Neck Mother", as yet unreleased... In 2007 Dot also worked with Paul Weller for a future project.
----- As a result of a mutual love for each other's creativity and perspective on contemporary music, Dot has recorded a collection of intensely auto-biographical songs with the legendary Kramer. In her own words, this new full-length work is her "No Other". Being a fan of the late Gene Clark this was her preferred parallel record. These deeply personal songs are very vocal and harmony-heavy, all helmed by KRAMER - bearing what is a sublime meeting of minds--The Album "Exaltation Of Larks" Is avaiable on P-Vine Records in Japan and Cooking Vinyl. This forthcoming release transports the listener back to the pre-psychedelia of "Dusty In Memphis" and "Pet Sounds".

Lovely to listen to your songs this morning. It is quite tropical weather over here and it it nice to cool of a bit to your music. Your poetry was wonderful too! Best O
The new band is outstanding, what a bunch of wonders- James Johnston for one is a long time source of beauty. Of course, your songs atop that bed of sound make it bliss. Wishing for someday to have a poetry book of yours, that would be a brilliant thing to dive into, cherish, and explore.
