Growing up in the North East section of the Bronx in the early 80's where Hip Hop was very relevant was the truth for DottieDoesIt. He just knew his life would embark on a musical adventure through his writing. Dottie took the initiative at 13 and became a part of the promotional street team for Universal Records and Motown Records. One year later he started interning under the assistant of the Vice President for Bad Boy Records where he was exposed to the industry life style. There Dottie learned more of the business aspect of music and what he had to do in order to be successful. He formed a movement with other rapper from his neighborhood, US OR NUFFIN, that consists of five members. The streets became loyal followers. Each members brought something different to the table.

In 2002, Dottie Does It began producing and putting out his own mixtapes. Doing so, he grabbed the attention of other mixtapes DJs that reached out to the young lyricist. With his brazen New York flow infused with a Dirty South twist, he's been featured on Dj Dark mixtapes in London and DJ Green Lanterns' Team Invasion mixtapes in the past year. In March 2007 Dottie Does It took it another step further and dropped "Break An Entry" and sold over 3000 copies with self promotion and tons of loyal underground fans.

Since then he has worked with singer/songwriter Mario Winans (Bad Boy/Hitman), Alcatras (Ruff Ryder Latino), The Heatmakers, Swole (Colli Park) and other behind the scenes producers as well as writing for up and coming artists. When asked what his mission is the lyrical storyteller states, "I'm trying to get my foot in the door and show the world the new type of music and vibe I can bring to the table, us or nuffin has something the worlds been waiting for. I'm not like these other rappers, everybody is a rapper now in days. I don't try hard and didn't have to find a swagg. It's a gift and it's natural. I got it"
