Dott Reed is a dynamic modern day chantress with a splash of new age 1920s hollywood glamour. Dott couples the glamour of the Belle Epoque with a vintage modern day sound that is both striking and gracefully original. The Dott Reed live experience, a mix of originals, jazz standards and cover versions, sounds like it should be coming straight out of a beautifully crafted gramophone. An engaging and original performer with a stunning vocal style Reed balances a girlish sense of excitement with a highly sophisticated and dramatic stage presence. Previous collaborative work includes working with James Bond composer Don Black (Diamonds Are Forever), Paloma Faith and a worldwide partnership with Nissan. A Tasmanian born self-taught musician, Dott grew up on a rural farm in Tasmania with no television. Indulging her passion for music through her grandmother's collection of Doris Day, Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong.
