We are always interested to hear what other mods are up to, so if you have an event you'd like us to include or preview/review, then get in touch. We're also interested in editorial contributions. Publishing dates for 2009 are 26 June (Glasgow Mod Weekender) and 1 November. If you have mod or 50's/60's leanings then we'll gladly add you as a friend, however, if your profile is set to private, we will not accept your friends request without you sending a message first.

    Hi...Thanks for the Add.  Good luck with your events too and love the magazine.  Hope you'll be able to make the Modrophonic May Day next May.  We've had huge interest in it and people are very excited that at last there is a Mod event in Liverpool, which is a great city.   And to hold it at the Cavern Club was icing on the cake!  Cheers.   Val

A night of rockin’ soul, rock n’ roll and rhythm & blues featuring live music from The Five Aces, The Bottleneckers and The Privates Hammond Orchestra. Mikey Collins will be DJing which makes this an unofficial pre club to the last night of the glasgow mod weekender. Tickets £5. The Venue @ Oran Mor, Byres Rd. Doors at 7pm, 1st band onstage at 7.45pm sharp  Last band offstage by 10pm latest.

    Fantastic new hammond mod band from outta Coatbridge, Scotland with 3 tracks of stunning dancefloor jazz!

    Side one of the e.p. features the band's version of NINA SIMONE's "I'm gonna leave you", with vocals by ex Del Amitri frontman Justin Currie - a mind blowing version that features appears on a lot of peoples mySpace pages. The second track is an original composition entitled "Sudden groovement" - pure JTQ style hammond funk!!
    Side two is taken up by a version of Brydie Green's take on FREDDIE HUBBARDs "Return of the prodigal son" - i.e. the vocal version!!

    There we go; one e.p. - 3 tracks, in a pic sleeve and with a FREE postcard too!!

    Congratulations guys, your band MODUS were the highlight of the Mods Mayday weekend. A band that look as cool as they sound with that Brian Auger/Julie Driscoll/Hamond groovey style. And they are also proud to admit they are mod. Have you never thought of doing something on them, in your magazine? They seem to be in everything now adays so I guess theyre maybe too mainstream. The Lines were good too. You Scots are leading the scene with your bands and djs and magazine. We really hope to get to your weekender this year and see them live again.
