Bio:

Double U, Franck Rabeyrolles' musical project, was born in Montpellier (South of France) in 2003. Franck belongs to a generation cradled with Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream,Byrds, or Leonard Cohen, for him music is a way of life. This project has germinated all along his musical career not only in bands (as drummer, guitarist, singer), or in radio shows, but also as a DJ or even as a record retailer (Wool Music in Montpellier). His first album « Life behind the window » was signed on Jazzanova record label Sonar kollektiv and helped him to reach interesting international distribution.Then He produced his second Label « A bottle in the sea » for Karat records the French » minimal electronic Champions ». This new work is supported by the french Label and distributor Nocturne.His music has been discribed at the begining as a crossover of Folk and electronica …not so far from the Boards of Canada,or Savath and Savalas ….it moved slowly into a more intimistic ,poetic music…very difficult to classify .with deep vocals and more and more acoustic parts. »The imaginary Band » his fourth album has been recorded with Jazz musicians ..Michel Benita for example( who played with Aldo Romano ,Eric Truffaz,Arshie Shepp) plays double bass on most of the songs.It was a very melodic album with smooth vibes ,cello and clarinet interventions.……in 2008 /2009 Franck Rabeyrolles stated the Franklin Project which is more psychedelic Bay era pop crossed with electronics ..with experimental pop parts.
