Double or Nothing is an acoustic/alternative indie band that consists of three members, Nick Whitesides, Matt Wheelwright and Derek Crowell. Having recently returned from service missions, their music is uplifting, emotional, lyrical and inspiring. They have been compared to and influenced by such artist as Secondhand Serenade, Cartel, Yellowcard, Dashboard Confessional, All Time Low, and Boys Like Girls. They have played over 100 different concerts and opened for local artist as well as nationally recognized performers.
Their style and stage presence has also lead them to win many different Battle of the Bands, have their music played on the "Live and Local" section of X96 (96.3 FM radio)as well as local college radio stations. These acoustic punk boys have even received many critiques from several acclaimed music artists like Brooke White and jon Peter Lewis (Both American Idol finalist), soulful rock band “One Republic”, and well established local Utah bands like Allred, Ryan Shupe, Benton Paul, Mury and more. They have also had the chance to record with the “John Lenon Tour Bus” after winning a contest for best original song put on by 88.1 at Weber State University and are currently promoting their new acoustic album “Live It Loud."
The band plans on recording another E.P. and recently released their new single "Falling" which entails the bittersweet feelings of the ups and downs of a love and heartache. Look for their new single "falling" on Itunes soon and you can request it at anytime from X96, or 88.1FM radio.
