I listen to ANYTHING that is good. I learned how to play Viola when I was 7 (couldnt get the girls with a Viola, so I chose BASS. My Brother played with Gladys Knight & the PIPS for many many years and after seeing them on stage and the huge crowd. I WAS SOLD. I just dont like to be SCREAMED AT in a song.

I have so many that I love. Right now I think one of my favorites is KING KONG. The ape should have gotten best actor in the Oscars.I also Love the New Die Hard Movie with Bruce Willis. That was Great. I fell in Love with the New Batman Movie with Heath Ledger and Cristian Bale. It was amazing. Also Iron man and Hell Boy and I am looking forward to the New Mummy 3. Tells you I am still a kid at heart and mind.

Lost, , Medium, Forensic Files, Family Guy, Smallvile, Desperate Housewives (dont laugh.Eli Stone, It is nice to see other people have problems beside me, at least on T V.) I dont like to see people in REAL pain. That is what T.V is for. DEXTER IS THE BOMB.

I am SMITTY. I have been performing for over 48 years professionally. I have played with Eric Burdon, Jimmy Messina. My Group (UWO, for short), has been around since 1979. We can PLAY. Not computerrs but REAL MUSICIANS. There are 11 of us. Full horn section, percussions, and 6 singers, ALL SELF CONTAINED. Later I will be able to upload some of our songs as I get to know this thing. I am still new here.

Also, I just did a NEW music video, (playing Bass) with Larisa Dolina (from Russia.) It was a dance salsa song. It was really cool and SHE CAN SIIINNGGG!!!. That was a lot of fun.

I AM SO STROKED ON THIS ONE. I JUST SAW THE BROADWAY VERSION ON DVD AND I SAID TO MYSELF "SMITTY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING". THEN GOD TOLD ME, IF I DIDNT WANT YOU TO HAVE IT, I WOULDNT HAVE GIVEN IT TO YOU. I have just dusted off my Dancin Shoes and working out. I WILL be ready for this one. The cast is great. I am honored to be a part of this show.
Now that makes , singing, song writing, acting, dancing and arranging and a musician and Producing Many good things coming this year for me and United World Orchestra.It is going to be a GREAT YEAR. We just hooked up with SteakHouse Studios in North Hollywood to remix and Master our FIRST SINGLE for January, "ONLY THEN WILL THERE BE LOVE" I LOVE IT. KIND OF A CALIPSO ROCK SONG. Figure that one out. That is UWO for you. With all the mess I have been through, I still have faith and God will grant us ALL soon. I am not new at this, or an "overnight success. You may have seen me on "The Games" Video "DREAMs." THAT IS ME ACTING AND SINGING. (I AM The man in the HAT). I hope you liked that one. It was a cool shoot.
I am also doing some solo gigs around town ( L.A. county). I do oldies and standards, actually a little bit of everything. I want to invite you all to see me perform at Trillusa's in Beverly Hills every Monday. The show starts at 9 pm. There are some great performers there. It is a variety show so there are singers and commedians. It is hosted by Skip E Lowe - many stars in the house.
HEY GUESS WHAT?!The Gig at DaVinci's was a SMASH HIT. I DID IT. I sang for 4 hours straight and the crowd loved it. Jose and Danny (the owners) are the BEST. They wrote a great comment that I posted below on the comment statements below. My manager, David Levy and I will be working on a new show for DINKS in Palm Springs. We are trying to lock that one down now. My Friend Gennine Jackson turned me on to that one. She is such a wonderful person and a GREAT Entertainer. God Bless Her.I will keep you informed about what we are doing. UWO is almost completed so say a prayer for us.
The gig at the Ford theater was Great portraying Martin Luther King. It was packed. We had been working on that play for almost 5 years and it is finally going to go big time. God is GREAT (I believe).
UWO is finally getting the final touches of the CD "Song Be" done. It was hard since Phillip Moore and I did it with our own Money. I LOVE THIS CD. Phillip and I also did a Standard CD for me Entitled "SONGS FOR YOU". I sell them at my gigs. It is excellent. So many great Jazz and love songs on it. I will post them someday for you to hear.
I love performing. This is what I was born to do. It is Great to have a Wife that understands that. She supports me as I do her. Valerie just got her MASTERS DEGREE. That is so cool. I am proud of her. I have 7 children and an extremely Beautiful wife. I have been blessed. I still have 5 children at home but the older ones still call from time to time. I truly LOVE MY FAMILY.
