Martial Arts, Boxing, Self defense.
Music, of course, motorcycles, hanging out with my son. Many other things I can't think of at this moment.
Music
Older stuff I guess, Zepplin, Van Halen, Peter Frampton, Aerosmith. Some new stuff too, Stone Temple Pilots, Seether, Maroon 5. Of course, Nuno Bettencourt and Extreme are the shit.
Movies
There's so many, where to start. OK, Oh Brother Where art Thou, The Fifth Element, The Big Labowski, Hudson Hawk, GoodFellas, Signs, Snatch, Happy Gilmore, Dreamcatcher, Little Nicky, Predator................
Television
I'm kind of a Discovery channel geek. I love all that Pomeii stuff and shark week and ancient people breaking wind and stuff {what did I say?}. I also dig the Golf channel, I love boxing although my favorite boxer got his ass kicked this year TWICE! I like South Park {my son's fault} and CNN in the morning. Ghost Hunters, even though the most of them are TOTAL dorks. They need someone cool like me on the show.....
Books
The Prophet-Kahlil Gibran {great book!}
"Tis" Frank McCourt
About me: Let's see, I'm a musician and a dad, my son is the most important thing in my life. I've always thought my music defined me but being a dad is what has shaped my life. I've traveled most of my adult life performing and the elusive "Big Time" has always been just out of reach. All the traveling, partying and just being "Me" has been the downfall with all the marriages, relationships and most other personal interaction that I've had {that made me laugh when I wrote it]. That or the fact the I'm totally insane, whichever. I used to enjoy waking up, hung over with my underwear on backwards and one sock missing, in a motel room with what feels like a giant mitten on my head! I guess I'm "in a different place" now. I think the underwear on backwards thing is still cool but I digress. I'm hoping to travel a lot more soon and spread my music globally. I'm having trouble finding players with the same values as me {or whom have no life} but I will find the right guys soon.
I dig staying healthy too, Gold's Gym rocks!!. I do indulge in a little "Alcohol Therapy" once in awhile {or a lot] and suggest you do the same. I run and exercise and eat healthy everyday, I think everyone should do the same but that's not the way things work. I haven't been a fitness freak forever but I feel like it's important now. I'd like to be there for my kid when he's older and needs advice. I always tell him "in any situation, think what I would do, then do the opposite"! Father of the year award is MINE!!!!
I like meeting new people too and doing what I do makes that happen quite regularly. That's one of the best things about performing, the diversity of the people that come to see us. After being in this business for all these years, you'd think I'd grow weary of it all, just the opposite, I wanna do it MORE!! Like it says on my passport, "The World is mine"!
