It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

To Answer Your Questions and My "Rules"
1. If I contact you to shoot you will not be charged. There is something I see I would like to photograph and use to show off my work. To add to my online work. If you contact me I do charge unless we work out something to trade our time and what we shoot can be useful to both of us.
2. My photos are owned by me. In other words I hold the copyright. As such you are not to alter my original images without my permission. This is much the same as altering someone's original painting. My final image is the way I want it, shot the way I wanted it. It may look cool to you to change colors or do other "cool" things to them, but not to my images
3. My shoots are not a spectator sport. It is not ok to bring the boyfriend, Mom and Dad, all your friends, etc. Yes, my shoots are fun! But they are also work in that what I do is also serious to get the best images we can with no distractions.
One exception is if you are a minor and shooting with me we need a parent there. Another is if you are paying me you can have someone around. But I need to pay attention to what I am doing.
4. If we haven't met I have plenty of references if you are "afraid" of meeting to shoot with someone you don't know. I have an entire blog entry of comments from girls who have shot with me. And most of my top friends. You are free to contact any of them. **Keep in mind I haven't met you either! That doesn't mean I am going to bring a "bodyguard." :) If you are that afraid then we shouldn't shoot. I am well known all over Tulsa, NE Oklahoma and Springfield, MO. What more do you want? :)
5. If we are doing a paid shoot then half must be paid ahead of time to hold your time. Paypal can be used. If we are doing a trade shoot and you don't show or I don't hear from you I will not schedule again with being paid.
6. If you have more questions message me, OK?
********************************
Photography is a part of me. It is much more than clicking a shutter and having some dull picture with no meaning. Our work in photography documents history in a way nothing else can. Take a look at some of the photos from the Twin Towers in NY collapsing and the following events from it. How else could that have been recorded in history for others to see for decades to come?
The work of Gordon Parks, documenting our battles with racism, continue to tell that story yet today. Photographs stay with us for years to come, telling the human story of joy, struggles, sorrows, victories, moments that make history, etc.
To be able to be part of this, of telling our story as we live, is an honor indeed. A privilege to not be taken lightly and one to take care of as we continue to do this each day.
This is what I want to do, leaving something behind that can always be seen, remembered and told about. A legacy in pictures.
