Heroes
Instead of heroes, I'm listing hobbies: bicycling, canoeing, hiking, sculpting, playing guitar, sometimes making candles, composing music.
Our pets at home are all rescues -- a cat, a dog, and a rabbit. If you are considering a new pet, please go to your local animal shelter, pound, or veterinarian's office to both save an animal and get a great pet and companion.
I'm Douglas Clegg, and I write novels that
lean toward the night side of fiction -- horror, gothic, dark fantasy,
supernatural -- whatever you want to label them, I'm fine with it.
To me,
they're all stories of love and misadventure -- with an edge of shadow.
I'm excited to report that a
beautiful edition of Isis, a very dark little tale, will be in stores in
September.
Isis is
about a young woman living in Cornwall, along the coast, who finds that
sometimes what you want is the last thing you should ever have.
The beautiful illustrations by Glenn
Chadbourn make this book a classic of the macabre. I wish
I could show you the book right now, but you'll have to wait.
In the meantime, be sure and
follow/friend/add me on the various social networks listed above, and
I'll be launching a terrifying
novel of the dark places of the human soul this July as a free serial to my
newsletter subscribers.
Called THE LOCUST, it's set
during the Great Depression, and begins with the arrival to a farmhouse of a
little girl who may just be the most horrifying creature anyone in Hadleyville
has ever met.
Please join me on my newsletter to
get the episodes of THE LOCUST from beginning to end.
