.......Fans of Nightbreed we need to prove once and for all to the studios that there is a dedicated fan base that has been waiting for the director's cut of this film to reach DVD for years. With your support we could well influence a DVD release as a pure commercial decision, but we need to figure out just how large that audience really is. A small but noisy group will not make a difference here - we need to see just how many people would actually put down their hard-earned money for this... ..Remember, there isn't a Region 2 DVD release at all and the Region 1 release is a bare bones version missing the 25 minutes of footage that Clive would love to get back into the movie - a song, some violence, some structure... There's also the prospect of a commentary and hours of potential bonus content... ....What do you think? ....If you're interested in showing the size of audience or demand for an extended version of Nightbreed, please either e-mail us at philandsarah@clivebarker.info or send us a Tweet to @philandsarah (find us at our Twitter page here). ....Just your name or screen name is fine but please feel free to add your country of residence and / or a sentence or two on why this would be a great idea.
this scene is on my YT channel, and in my heart, forever. Same room, same posters, same record on the table. When I saw this I thought: Ian Curtis is my brother
In this corner - weighing in at 168 lbs - standing at 6'1 .... with a Mensa score at the 99th percentile and an IQ of 175 ... D!!!!! E!!!!! W!!!!!!
Was I close?
And I think you should wear the gold monogrammed boxers.
And I like that guy a few comments down ... I do hope he gets to meet you one day - you really were one of the only writers worth meeting .... and uh, I've met a lot .... ;-p
Thanks for the add, Doug. I hope one day to get a chance to meet you at a con, so I can shake the hand of the man who's written some of the best non -fiction the genre has to offer..and also the man who wrote something as poignant as THE ZOMBIES OF MADISON COUNTY for Skipp's MONDO ZOMBIE antho. Truly great work. I was in tears, as maudlin as that sounds. It was a touching piece of literature.
I wrote a review for MONDO ZOMBIE that appears on HELLNOTES.com. Check it out if you get a moment of leisure.
By the way...any plans to release an album of your music? It reminds me of Fabio Frizzi's work with Lucio Fulci.
Hi Doug, it was nice seeing you again at Necon. Thank you for signing my HorrorFest program. I promise to dig up something equally nostalgic next year for you to sign.
