There is something incredibly pure about learning to play music together. The entire band had a total of two gigs under there belt (both, Chris the drummer.) before forming. Add to this a seeming inability to agree on covers... They only have one and you begin to see why they don't generally sound like anyone.
They write songs based on what works and they're still learning to work as a band, but thats what it is. A group thats growing and finding a unique sound.
They do play four piece rock and roll and they are trying to open their boundaries and forge something new. Individual influences range from Metal to Delta Blues to Indie to 3rd Wave Punk. It's amusing something to watch them argue about famous music they like and they basically never agree on anything... Except the music they all make together. It's a unique blend of sources that still ends up sounding like rock and roll you can dance to.
Most importantly they're all friends. This isn't a quick attempt to make it big that will end if it doesn't happen in 12 months. Its a genuine labor of love from people who just want to create something new so they can pass it on to their grandkids and say... I was in a band once.
Thanks for the note friend, let us know either way if you need a support act at one of your shows are more importantly you are heading North to play a show in Yorkshire. Good to know you Douglas Furs.
Yeah, I don't think there would be either; then you could work with the individual tracks more to avoid noise. I must concur with you on the latter though.
Yeah, that would probably do it. Do you receive the songs in the WAV files as just one track with everything on it as opposed to separate files for separate parts then?
Hey, thanks a lot man; I appreciate it. My favourite of yours would have to be Dog in a Garden. What's causing the random breaks/noise [not the good kind]/whatever in your songs though? Everything else came out fine [except for the sometimes peaking with the vocals], so seeing as my equipment isn't that great or even good, I was wondering what was up with yours to do what it does.
nice one we played there recently, its got a good feel. rockin scene still alive and kickin. doin our best here keepin a foot in there while the other foot ventures out bringing the rockabilly/country/punk/rock'n'roll/gospel/surf out to the rest of the world! B) lets have a beer sometime soon x
Sorry about last night, gutted I missed your set, good talking to you lads again. I've just read that review of last night and listened to the songs. The one I was on about last night was 'Russia'.
