I'm well into Folk music, folk rock and roots based music now. The festivals are really wonderful events to attend.
Music
Anything that actually has melody, www.folkcast.co.uk is the best thing around lately, download all their podcasts, you won't be disappointed.
My favourites at this time are whats playing now,The mountain Firework Company, aren't they superb?
Blackmore's Night are a band I've just discovered, great music. Appently has links with Deep Purple which I don't like, but this is very different.
Movies
anything that is well acted. ---------- usually;-)
If I see even the slightest hint of an actor not being serious, (ie their lips always give it away!) they are B-movie or tv movie fodder! Wild Hogs is a great feelgood movie.
Television
News, current affairs, good sci-fi, good comedy, documenteries.
Books
Anything well written really,ie. Asimov, Nelson Mandela' bio, Ted Simon is also a wondrous writer even if you don't like biking. , Long Way Round, every biker should enjoy those books.
Heroes
heroes are for sheep, oh! except worshipping your family.
About me: Any use of strong language in comments, etc. I will delete. I am just trying to do my bit to try and keep the net clean. I alway check pages of friends request and will refuse if I see any profanity.
How will I survive!! Both my wonderful children at University now, I'm so proud but how I will miss them at home in the dark evenings. I bit of advise-- find a way to stop your kids growing up:(

hi Doug. Are you still biking or is bike going away for winter hibernation? Me and Steve met a couple of very nice fellow bikers over summer this year, who live down the road in Penygroes. Thinking next year we will definetly be organising some biking days out, be nice to get a group of us together to enjoy the open roads, Welsh scenery and pub lunches! Roll on summer.
