Doug Mansfield: Vocals and Guitar:
After years of traipsing around the pubs of inner-city Melbourne playing country and blues as a solo artist, Doug formed his first band, The 'Bearbrass Ramblers', in 1989, named for one of the original names of the settlement at Port Phillip. The Dust Devils' signature tune 'One More Beer' hails from that period. Doug and Jack Coleman later joined with Gerard, Bruce and Adam Gare (now with the sensitive new age cowpersons) to form the Dust Devils.
Gerard Rowan: Pedal Steel Guitar, Electric Guitar and Vocals
Gerard began his career in country music with Blue Bayou, later known as the Fallen Angels. He has also played with many other local bands including Acuff's Rose and Tess McKenna.
Nicky Del Rey: Electric Guitar and Vocals
Nick is a legend in the independent music scene in Melbourne, being a foundation member of the wild and woolly Intoxica. Although coming from a rock background, he has covered an enormous range of guitar styles. He has featured in several country acts around town, most notably Truckasaurus, Sherry Rich and the Grievous Angels, and on the road with Brent Parlane.
Jack Coleman: Bass
Jack has played in numerous bands around Melbourne, most notably Acuff's Rose and the Paradise Vendors. He has featured on albums by the Dust Devils, Acuff’s Rose, and Mark C. Halstead. Jack proved a hit with the inmates of Pent ridge Prison, when the Dust Devils played the last show at B Division.
Bruce Kane: Drums
Bruce has played in many of the above bands as well as the Boy Kings and the notorious Dave Last Orchestra. When he is not playing with the Dust Devils, Bruce moonlights as a television producer for the ABC.
Doug and the Dust Devils play a toe-tappin', foot stompin' brand of original and traditional country music in the honky-tonk style. They have had long-term residencies at Fitzroy's Standard Hotel and St Kilda's Greyhound Hotel, as well as playing many other venues as diverse as the Arts Centre and Pentridge Prison. They are currently playing regularly at the St Kilda Bowling Club . In 1996 they released their debut CD 'You can never go home'. They have played the Tamworth, Portland and Kyneton festivals. Their video of the song 'One More Beer' has received extensive airplay on CMT, as well as being selected by John Nutting of the ABC as the opening song on the 'Saturday Night Country Favourites' CD. Several of Doug's songs have featured in the television shows 'Good Guys Bad Guys' and Stingers. 'One More Beer' will also feature in a forthcoming motion picture. Their last album Trouble Follows Me' reached the finals in three categories at the 2000 Victorian Country Music Awards. Doug and some members of his band appeared in a recent episode of 'Stingers'. Four songs also featured in the Show

My Ozzie Friend... I've always been flattered that you recorded my song.. now I'm even more flattered you have it up on your myspace!!!! Someday I'm headin' down under to hear it in person! ..db
