Doug McCormick is an aspiring country artist form a small town in South Carolina. He has been playing music professionally since he was 16 and has shared stages with Luke Bryan, Elizabeth Cook, Flynnville Train, and Dale Watson to name a few. Playing well over 100 shows a year, he has performed in venues such as the Beachwagon in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Little John Coliseum in Clemson, SC, The Country Club in Augusta, Ga, and The Handlebar in Greenville, SC. He recently graduated from Clemson University in December of 2008. Since his graduation, Doug has taken on his music career full time. With over 55,000 plays on Myspace, he released his self titled debut album in September of 2008. Independently, the album has already sold over 1000 copies in physical CDs alone and is rapidly climbing in digital sales. With hopes of taking the next step in his career, McCormick looks to his newly released album for guidance and direction. With an original sound comparable to those of Garth Brooks, Gary Allan, and Keith Whitley he pushes on towards his dream of accomplishing his lifetime goal of someday walking in the shadows of his great country heroes.
