Performer Profiles

Jenna

Jenna Greene

Jenna Greene is a Celtic singer-songwriter, a weaver of myth and magic. She began her musical journey as a soloist at her family’s church in Abington, MA at the age of 10. She always felt that spiritual music brought her peace and wholeness. At the age of 16, she began studying world mythology and it wasn’t long before these universal themes were woven into her music. These new songs took on a life of their own. Listeners described them, along with Jenna’s voice, as “healing and calming”. Healing through music soon became one of Jenna’s great passions. She set out to study the use of sound and voice in world religions. What she learned encouraged her to develop her own techniques. Her workshop “Give Peace a Chant” calls upon the powers of music, chant, nature, spirit, voice, rhythm and laughter to manifest positive changes in people’s lives. Connecting with a live audience is something Jenna=2 0also treasures. She has traveled all over New England performing her own songs as well as haunting Celtic favorites. Finding hope and following dreams are common themes running through virtually all of her compositions. “My biggest dream is for my songs to uplift the listener and help them to find magic in themselves. That is why I make music.” Jenna’s debut CD Crossroads was released in 2008. It is a collection of original songs inspired by the ancient Celts, nature, faeries, dreams and the works of Joseph Campbell. Jenna currently lives in Rhode Island with her sound healing, music managing, sound and light engineering husband, Doug and their faerie child, Sairys. “Her ethereal music is inspired by Celtic lore and nature myth. She believes both nature and music are powerful healers. Fused together, her music will take you on a journey to sacred groves, standing stones and places of beauty within yourself.” Booking for workshops or live performances: info@greeneladymusic.com Websites: www.myspace.com/greeneladymusic www.greeneladymusic.com

Blessings to my Brothers and Sisters of the Magickal Community - if you have an interest in tattoos and magick then please join me!

I will be a guest on SEPIA RVP Radio on the Para-X radio network (a division of CBS radio) with host Eric Dionne discussing the Magick of Tattoo. The show will be broadcast on MONDAY - APRIL 6th - 10PM EST. Go to http://www.para-x.com to tune in! the number to call to join us is:910.338.1062

In the modern world tattoos have been commonly perceived as marks of rebellion or of identifying lower class counterculture group members. Today with shows like "Miami Ink" and "L.A. Ink" they've become a mainstream fashion trend decorating everything from the ankles of soccer moms & full backs of corporate executives to the lower backs of giggling 18 year old girls.

We see tattoo designs on handbags, energy drinks, t-shirts & now even baby clothes - but before tattooing was the mark of "ne'er-do-wells" & a popular fashion novelty, they were important & powerful marks of transformation and identification. They adorned the bodies of powerful chieftains, kings & queens, sacred dancers & musicians, priests & priestesses, warriors & soldiers alike. Used to bring protection, healing, wisdom, strength & more into their lives. Magickal people the world over - Witches and members of Secret Societies - still to this day brandish the magickal mark & we will chat about how & why.

Come join the fun! BLESSED BE! / 93!
