Straight forward rock with an edge, "Down From Paris" is a 5-piece rock band that was formed in the summer of 2007 and is based out of Sudbury ON. Curtis Hannon (bass) and Remi Leclair (guitars) had been writing jointly for several years and with the addition of Andre Poulin (drums) and Joe Morin (guitars), songs started coming together. We are currently working with a new singer, Denis Rainville(vocals) and are putting together new songs to go with our previously recorded material. Look for us to be playing somewhere in your area soon.
We used to be called "Mumrik" that was looking for a singer and now we finally found a singer and the band name became STM since we are working together at a distance of 6000miles from Leeds, UK to Kyoto, Japan. We have uploaded 3 songs now. Check out how it works.
The battle was a great venue to promote the band. We got out there and played hard and the crowd appreciated us. Next stop Summerfest Aug.30, 2009. 9:00-9:45pm, second stage (beer tent). There's gonna be alot of great local talent playing this weekend so if you want to get a weekend pass it'd be worth your while. Some pretty big names coming to town, and while you're at it, between sets go to the beer tent, get yourself a cold one and check out the talent. At least be there between 9-9:45, Sun, to see us play, then do what you want... LOL
Summerfest was "F'N" awesome, the rain cut our set short by a couple songs but we had a blast and would like to thank Vic and Emily for the opportunity for us to play for our fans. Thanks for the support, you guys are what drives us to become who we are.
Yeah I know Richard you absolutly did , thats why i'll never sell it ,its got too much sentimental value ,thats priceless ! lol may be my kids will use it full time some day ! ;-)
Great times recording the disc, absolute pleasure working with you guys.
Dan, get your Black Sabbath outfit dry-cleaned, you've got some rockin' to do. Remi, teach those boys some of your rock moves. Curtis, that was pretty good, now do it again. Andre, sell Joe that stack already, you know you want to.
The door's always open for you boys here at Easter Island, don't be strangers.
