Nearly a decade ago, two brothers dreamed a dream, to grow up and be able to rock out to their own brand of catchy songs. For Ricky and Dereck, this was not impossible... the boys started writing songs relatively young and kept on trying no matter what they were told...
Their first few recorded works had received a lot of local acclaim from radio stations, 99.9 THE BUZZ and 94.7 HITS FM were among the first two to pick up the band's singles "Time", "Come Around" and "Tears And Stars"
One day, Ricky and Dereck were performing an acoustic DOWNLINE show in the heart of Montreal when they met MOS and Chris who, at the time, were performing in another band that was opening for them. After a few roster changes and a couple of years, these two would become the final elements to complete what truly is Downline.
Downline aims to deliver to the world everything that they can give: contagious melodies, unbelievable hooks, a positive message and an incredible live performance.
2010 seems to be the year for Downline as their new single, a revamping of Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting" has successfully blanketed Canadian radio airwaves and their music video for the song is having a lot of rotation on MuchMusic.
This is merely the beginning, as "Right Here Waiting" is the first single off their soon-to-be-released album "A MATTER OF TIME".
