Downliner are a 4 peice rock band straight out of Leicester. They met at Leicester university in their first year and started jamming casually. Things have since progressed and downliner are now playing frequent gigs in and around Leicester. A mixture of head-nod beats, rocked out riffs and dancy overtones make a good listen for any taste.
Downliner live shows are gaining an infamous status in Leicester for the man like Dave Robinson’s stage antics, pissed welsh groupies dancing on pool tables and the best fucking cover of JT’s Sexy Back you will EVER hear!!!
The band now have a large repertoire of their own songs as well as many a cover, many of which they like to think you will have never heard done by any other before.

Downliner w/ The Briganties @ Firebug, Monday 10th March
-Downliner are supporting The Briganties on the eve of their single release at Firebug on sat the 10th. Firebug is a wicked venue and with a signed band headlining, it’s gonna be a good night to come and show us your love.
Halls Balls
-Downliner have been asked to play at the Easter Ball for Beaumont Hall (Leicester Uni). We’re pretty excited, should be a night to dress up, get smashed and play some silly songs!
The Looking Glass
-Downliner return to The Looking Glass on the 26th of Feb. A set sprinkled with many of your favourite covers in a trendy setting and IT’S FREE!!! What could be better we ask you. Also the possibility of the one and only Team 12am supporting. Nice one
Club Reo @ The Charlotte
-Downliner are playing at The Charlotte on thursday the 7th of Feb as part of the line up for Club Reo, an indie night put on by local band Ministers of Reo. Entry is £4 with one of our lovely home made flyers or £5 without. Also playing are The Visionaries and The Codes along with the Ministers themselves. The night normally brings a packed venue so this is a big one for us, we hope to see many of you there. Watch out for the latest addition to our set list "good gone bad". Much love
